During Paul's last week of family leave we took a mini vacation in San Diego. We went to the zoo and the beach and had a great time.
We saw a sea lion show and this was Liam's face the entire time.
Paul got quite the work out.
The zoo has these loud, annoying, strange foot massage machines all over the park and Liam wanted to try them all out.
Brygit went along for the ride and didn't participate much until she pooped all over her clothes.
We got a green screen picture taken at the panda exhibit and I'm really excited about the photoshop possibilities!
Liam got a blue Icee (his favorite) and picked his nose.
And stood next to some polar bears.
And rode some elephants.

We stayed at a very nice hotel right down the street from the zoo and the kids liked laying on the beds. Until bedtime, that is. Liam kind of flipped out when he realized we really weren't going home. We went through his whole bedtime routine and he relaxed a bit when he saw that I had packed his toothbrush and his stories and the whole bag of tricks that go along with bedtime.
The next morning we found a beautiful park with grassy shaded picnic areas and a playground that led right into the water. It was absolutely beautiful and a great way to end our weekend and our family time.
