I was pretty disappointed to find out that Paul had to work on Easter Sunday. Not having him with me today put a major damper on my holiday. I always want to be with him but that is especially so on special occasions. That being said, we have some pretty amazing family and spending the day with them is always a blast, especially for the kids.
Let me back track a few days to when we dyed Easter eggs with the kids. They had been asking me for weeks to dye eggs so they were over the moon when the day had finally come.
As you can see, Brygit didn't even want to wait for the eggs to cool to get started.
Then, this morning, while Paul was home, we had an early morning egg hunt in our house. I think this picture below is possibly my favorite Easter picture of all time. I didn't realize until uploading my pictures how many random faces Brygit was making.
Here's another.
The kids enjoyed another egg hunt at church and pretty much stocked us up on chocolate for the rest of the year.
I took the opportunity to grab a picture of the kids in their adorable Easter clothes. I have to admit that Liam pulls off a bow tie like no other. I think he needs to wear them all the time.
The highlight of the day was, of course, lunch at great-grandma's house. The food was amazing and playing in the yard was everyone's favorite part.
