Aquarium

A couple weeks ago we took Liam to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. It was one of the things on our "bucket list" to do with Liam before his little sister comes along demanding frequent nursing sessions and diaper changes. We thought we all would enjoy it a lot more if we did it without an infant. And we did! Of course, we will take her there as well when she gets old enough to enjoy it. Liam absolutely loved it. He was actually a lot more into it than I thought he would be.

He really liked the shark exhibit and got right up to the glass to watch the sharks swim by.

He hated the Lorakeet exhibit which was pretty intense for the rest of us as well. He curled up against Paul's chest and started saying, "No birds! No birds!" so we headed straight for the exit.

He also really liked the seals once they started showing off and barking loudly.

Seeing as how he doesn't like the Nemo ride at Disneyland nor can he sit through the entire Finding Nemo movie, I was very surprised that one of his favorite exhibits was the tropical fish, mainly the "Nemos." He stood staring at this one little fish for what felt like forever until we realized there were tons of them in other tanks.

So many Nemos!! In the above photo Liam was "picking up" the fish and handing them to me.

It was a very fun day that was finished off with a run around the park, a look at the boats, and french fries at Islands.
