Liam had his first real homework assignment this week. His teacher is making a large turkey for the wall in their classroom and each student took home a feather to decorate with things they are thankful for. All I had to do was explain to Liam what the word "thankful" meant then he took over from there. We went through our photos and searched the internet for pictures of things he is thankful for. He chose the pictures, he cut out most of them and he glued them all on by himself. I love the way it came out and it was the perfect project for this time of year. He keeps thinking of things he is thankful for that he didn't put on his feather. Last night he remembered that he is thankful for his school so he will have to put that down "next year." Included in his project are things like Tinkerbell, Santa, jack-o-lanterns and TV but he also included snowy mountains, Jesus, food and each of his family members. It absolutely warmed my heart.
